On April 23, 2026, the global ICT community celebrates International Girls in ICT Day. This year it goes under the theme “AI for Development: Girls shaping the digital future”.
This event was established by the International Telecommunication Union in 2011 and has since been celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April. Over the years, it has become a large-scale movement designed to inspire young women to choose careers in modern technology.
On this significant day Beltelecom sincerely congratulates all the girls working in the ICT sector and expresses gratitude for bright ideas, skills and active participation in innovative projects.
Being held in the Year of the Belarusian Woman in 2026, this global initiative is especially meaningful for us.
We are certain that communications is more than just complex equipment and digital technologies. In the first place, it’s about people. Women are the ones who build and develop a significant part of this giant system; they combine a complete professionalism and deep analytical approach with a personal touch and sincerity.
In support of these values and in honour of the Year of the Belarusian Woman, Beltelecom launches a column #НашиСотрудницы (#OurEmployees) in the official Telegram channel. Each Tuesday we introduce you to the women who, through their daily work, create the company’s history of achievement. Among them there are engineers, programmers, customer service specialists representing various branches: from Brest to Vitebsk, from the Minsk office to a small regional communications center. We’ve already told so many inspiring stories, and interesting new ones are on the way.
Our employees are the pride of the company. They prove every day that a modern woman can be a successful leader, a highly skilled expert, and still be the life and soul of the team.
